Collector's Arcana:
Contents of this box set include an Adventures Book, a Rules Book, dice and dice bag as well as a booklet of
Player Characters stats. The modules in the Fast-Play Series were designed
to go along with this set (though the Adventure Game was notneeded in order to utilize the Fast Play modules.)
The Adventure Game was also released with an overized box (Width: 28.5 cm; Height: 40 cm; Depth: 4.4 cm). The contents of the
oversized box were normal size and exactly the same as the contents of smaller sized set.
Description
Issued in 1999, the D&D Adventure Game was part of the Silver Anniversary line of D&D products.
By this point, TSR was a subsidiary of Wizards of the Coast and WotC was just "buying" time until 3rd edition could be releasesd.
This box set doesn't really present a playable Role-Playing system - rather it provides characters that must be
used and a brief system and adventure that can be played. The idea is to play what is presented as an introduction to what
D&D is all about.
