I'd like to make this thread as the central organization point for the Miniatures Research Forums. Kynan (tfm) has done a fantastic job organizing the titles to the Miniatures Research forum (and all research forums for that matter). And many have already contributed to the point they are now. We continue to need the help and input of visitors.

I am making this thread a sticky, but it is open to comments, suggestions, corrections, and ADDITIONS to the forum. If you need a new publisher added, etc., by all means let us know here and an administrator will add it as soon as we get around to it.

There's probably two or three hundred miniature companies to say the least. More if you include battlefield recreation minis that led to wargaming. Like the fanzine challenge, minis will be a very tall order. But . . .

"if you build it, they will come."

Are you only interested in archiving the boxes and blister packs or do you want loose minis pictured as well?

I'd say okay if you have a name for it. Many were vended that way, without package.

I see pics of the loose minis as an addition to the box/blister. Best would painted minis! But the blister/box pictures should be part of a complete entry. Of course one could go ahead with pictures of loose miniatures and someone else could add the blister pictures later.

It is a good idea to post and weigh actual collectable minis loose out of the pack. There have been re-casts popping up every so often; they are usually of lower quality and much lighter than the original lead/pewter version (Often made of tin or a tin alloy).
