That's a good lot. It'll cost somebody a pretty penny! Laughing

Here is another fun lot

Its fun to me because you have to strain your eyes to see if anything is worthy. I have gotten pretty good at spotting something that looks off-color, even though I can't see the title.

I didn't know about this one until I saw the auction. Abebooks.com has a number of copies for sale at $1 so I grabbed one of them with cheap shipping.

Anyone heard of this DDT book before?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=180238442203

The same seller sold one earlier with another D&D lot.

I think I made David pay handsomely for it. Perhaps he can describe what it is.

I have not heard of it before. I think it is a worthy pickup, though.

Maybe, but it has the Insta-Character feel about, coming from the same seller.

I wouldn't expect D&D to be in there, but who knows. Wargaming and role-playing take second fiddle to things like Monopoly or checkers. The simple cardgame/boardgame has ruled the gaming world for decades. Wargames and role-playing games are more complex, and so appeal to a smaller audience. I'm very curious, though, to look at the advertisements. The mags I have coming cover the end of '77, and all of '78 and '79--the years TSR found its formula. 1977-82 are my favorite TSR years, marked by creativity and innovation.

My Games Magazines came today and I was pleased to find a D&D article and a small sample dungeon called "The Dungeon of Anhara" by the author of the article, Jeff Johnson. I'm just skimming through things now, but there are game company ads present.

Bad Moon

This sucka used to be REAL TOUGH to find!

btw- Nice items description. He should come on over to the research forums and do up some entries....

Quote:
Item is in Good Condition. There is some surface wear to the cover, mainly on the top 2 corners. One of the staples may show signs of very tiny staple rust, or it could just be discoloration on the staple, I cant tell, you have to look very closely to notice it The interior pages are in excellent condition with no tears, marks, or stains. It is 40 pages, Published by Conflict Simulations Of Australia 1987.

This is an extremely rare module. I have never seen another copy of it on ebay or anywhere else in the last 8 years.

From the Front Cover: Presented by the editors of Conflict Simulations of Australia Pty Ltd for use with ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS role playing game. ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS is a registered trademark of TSR, Inc. This use of TSR's Trademark by CSA is not approved by TSR. An adventure for 5th - 7th level characters. ISBN 0 949811 01 7

From the Back Cover: The King of Graventzein is a brave man. With five companions, he is travelling to the most dangerous part of his kingdom. There, he will face another king: one who died long ago. The battle has been foretold by prophecy. The outcome will determine who rules Gravenztein - Life of Death, Good or Evil. You will play the king and his five companions. One of your most rebellious subject castles has called on you for help. They are being terrorized by a ghost. This opportunity to ensure their loyalty must not be wasted. You know that the ghost is one of the first rulers of the Kingdom. Your contest was predicted long ago in the Mortegis Prophecy. You must destroy it before it can grow and become a real threat.

Bad Moon was the competition module at Games 87 gaming convention in Melbourne, Australia. It is designed for 4-8 players of levels 5-7. Detailed within are the six characters used for the competition. They are suitable for use as NPCs in Campaign play.

That would be Allan. He's been looking for a D&D tourney called "Treasures of the Dragon Queen" or something like that. I'm sure that he ripped a lock of hair out of his head when WOTC came out with the Dragon Queen line.
