Scribe's Musings:

I am not so much a wargame buff. Personally, my interest in this material centers around research of the origins of TSR and the activities of its founding members. I feel as if the IFW periodicals have a wealth of information. Some of the clues are not so obvious in connection so I make some personal observations here and there that may or may not be accurate.

This issue is a fine example of this. A couple of items seem not so significant in the overall scope of this issue but I feel compelled to highlight them. For example, the article by Lenard Lakofka titled Fun with Armor Miniatures. Basically it is a gaming plot scenario where a German tank fleet on advance of the Russians encounters Godzilla. These issues do not contain many of the whimsical and fantastic elements you see in fantasy gaming years later. Is battling with Godzilla significant towards the movement of fantasy gaming?
