Over the past couple of years, I've been to a few concerts that I have wanted to see for years. I went to see the Beastie Boys, Pearl Jam, and Sarah McLaughlin.

Saw Beastie Boys at the Lalapalooza in Barrie Canada.
I've seen Pearl Jam thrice (once in Canada with Soundgarden & Neil Young)
Seen Sarah once (not in Canada . . . )

I grew up / lived in Thunder Bay, Ontario for about 25 years. It is basically a nexus of the void. The city itself is just over 100,000 people but the closest bigger city is about 7.5 hours drive away. Their largest venue is a 4-5 thousand hockey arena so most of the big bands never show up.
On the bright side, it has the second largest on campus student pub in Canada so a lot of the bus touring pub bands frequently stopped by.
Now that I am in Waterloo, I am about an hour away from Toronto so can now go see some of the big bands. The only drawback is with most of the concert going crowd still being young, I feel like a grandpa going to see some of these.

I have sirius satellite radio in the van and keep it on First Wave (new wave) radio station about 90% of the time. Hard Attack the other 10% depending on my mood. Anyhow, I am now always in the mood to hear the Smiths and Depeche Mode. It is nice that they throw all sorts of stuff at you from that era. Satellite Radio is great stuff. _________________

There's a fight club on the same floor of this office building indeed, and my business partner does a lot of martial arts, but not me. Adrenaline is a much stronger drug than caffeine. That's why this kind of music gets me going much faster than coffee. Of course, in the office I have to rely on the magic of the black water.
