Does anyone know what gaming convention was being held on October 9, 1980? Thanks.

I can't find it on my stuff. Dundracon was sometimes held at that time of the year. I can't think of any others (but that doesn't mean much)

Maybe it's a Sci-Fi convention:

No, I don't. The tourney just had the date in it. I wanted Matt to know since he bought it and probably won't have the time to research it himself.
