Beauvais (finish illustrations)/Ruppel (anything) = As good as art gets at TSR

Caldwell = Great when he isn't using cheesy 70's illustration boarders and floating narrative-vignettes

Please let me know if any great art comes along. Since I stopped buying games I've got quite a bit set aside for art. I really enjoy the pieces I have. The last thing I bought I got an email from Heritage wanting to broker a deal for it because another bidder was unavailable and now wanted to buy it.

I noticed a smattering of Roslof ink illustrations fetching over $1000 each off of Illustration Exchanges gallery page. I think that is a clear sign that the TSR art market is making a shift.

I've told myself recently that the next upswing in the game ephemera market will trigger a mass sell-off by me. I'd consider hiring an individual to just handle the ebay sales and document everything as they go along for inclusion in our database here. The hope is to make enough to pay that person and cover some of the studio rent at the same time AND add to our website content.

I can't quite decide if I want to sell of any TSR art yet. I'd like to move on some contemporary art, as I am confident I can select work from promising emerging artists. Buy something now for < $1000 and it will most certainly become worth tens of thousands of dollars in a decade or two, if not worth much much more.

I'd probably like to retain the TSR illus AND begin purchasing the contemporary art, if possible.

I have maybe 2 covers I would not sell under any circumstance.
Numerous interiors and production pieces and whatnot... I like the oddball stuff more and more.
Going to update my thread sometime later today and also start a list of things for sale as well.
"Please let me know if any great art comes along."
Too subjective. Everyone likes different stuff to a degree where most people disagree what's "great" while we might all agree on what's "iconic" in the same vein.

He has some really cool stuff from the early 80's. Really large paintings I never saw before.. He also had some kick ass frames on stuff. I guess that video game company Parkinson had payed the artists frame bills for pieces they hung in the studio there. Frames were fabulous by my standards.

I listed a few things on Ebay. The Cavotta is nice and the Easley is pretty darn old. Just look those guys up to see the auctions;)
I'm looking to move the rest of my art (- Beauvais) if anyone here is interested in anything. I can give a deal on bulk purchases.
