An expanded or "Second Edition" according to the product list. More pages containing more information, new art, and a revised play map. This example came in old shrink with the bottom open. Stapled to the title page is a "Help Wanted" notice from Gamescience Corporation and a price sticker on the cover, not on the shrink. It does suggest that Gamescience either opened the shrink to add their material or they added the shrink themselves. It may be impossible to tell, but it does complicate the issue of older, shrink-wrapped collectibles.

Textually, this example appears identical to the one listed above. There is no extra content or obvious deviation from the content of the expanded tan cover. With regard to production, the print in this example is not as clean as the one above. Occasionally, the pages show borderlines from the printing plates and page 38 is not centered. The lower production quality and cover color distinguish this print from the one above. It is unclear which came first.

Same content as the expanded examples above, this printing differs in both the cover and the products list, which now carries the Wheaton address.

Ringbearer appears in a Zocchi product list for the game Alien Space. Gamescience is listed as the producer, not Little Soldier. It may be that the copies of Little Soldier products which bear a "Help Wanted" notice from Gamescience Corporation were produced by Gamescience. More data is needed here.

Gamescience did for sure produce a volume called The Fantasy Gamer's Compendium which anthologizes many of the games released by Little Soldier.

Update to the 24-page Ringbearer:

version A, bound with one staple in the center
version B, bound with two staples
