OK, I've always been under the impression that these cards were originally issued with a "sorting needle" to use the term in the directions, and I know we've discussed these on the Acaeum before, but I can't seem to find the thread (it's likely in one of the interesting non-TSR items threads, unfortunately). My recollection is that Mars/Mark and I were talking about them the most?? Anyway, at least two of my sets if not all three came in ziplock bags, too, which I haven't scanned (any interest in those). I've scanned the full directions for reference, as well as a sorting needle, and a third tool that came in the most-recent set of these that I picked up:



From the illustrations, it seems clear to me that the sorting needle is an original component. I'm not at all sure that the card-puncher/crimper/thingy is in fact original, since there's no mention of it in the set
