Format: Manila envelope containing:

Primary Rulebook (cover scan above) 10 numbered photocopy pages, single sided, two cover pages, twice stapled upper left hand corner. Cover sheet beige, internal sheets white.

Optional Rules, five unnumbered photocopy pages, single sided, stapled once upper left hand corner, pink paper. Cover sheet follows:



PbM Rules, three unnumbered photocopy pages, single sided, once stapled upper left hand corner, white paper

Aircraft Reference Sheets, two pages of hand-drawn charts, single sided, stapled, white paper.

Two pages with detailed top/side pictures of aircrafts, depicting the Fokker Dr 1 Triplane and the Sopwith Camel. Sopwith on blue paper, Fokker on white paper.

One double-sided PbM page depicting a 25x25 grid (effectively the PbM board) on one side, and a form for recording aircraft movements on the other

"Gary, having seen this new game called FIGHT IN THE SKIES played at the GEN CON® game convention (of which he was also the founder and original organizer) in 1968, encouraged me to produce a set of rules under the auspices of the WGIG. The first three editions were done that way, hand produced in quantities of 25, 50 and finally 100 copies, with photocopied rules, a handful of playing charts, and some crudely printed maneuver cards."

This instance is the 3rd edition.
