No clue on price difference or model difference but in "The book of Fantasy Miniatures" by Little Soldier Games (1978), 1091 by Heritage is listed as Giant Dragon so I guess they also changed the name a bit. Unfortunately the book doesn't list prices.

It's the same mini with the same product number, but the $19.95 version seems to be an earlier incarnation. I was surprised because usually the earlier version is more desirable in our collecting circles. I know that the 1091 hardly comes up at all. $20 is a lot of money for one miniature, let alone $24.95, especially back then. Incidentally, the $24.95 dragon is listed in the Heritage catalog here, which Shane dated to early 1977. _________________ "This is cool."
