Scribe's Musings:

This is the first issue in a long run of monthly issues that is entitled International Wargamer. The spring and winter issue of this year were both entitled International Wargamer.

Included is a scan of what amounts to the 2nd annual Lake Geneva Convention. Paul Cote writes a preview article as companion to the scanned list of events. At the end of the article he mentions the convention ends at 3:30pm on Sunday 'but they will be talking about this one for a long time'. Laughing How about nearly 40 years later?

An interesting article is IFW Visits AVALON HILL by Bill Hoyer. He mentions that himself, Len Lakofka, Scott Duncan, Tony Morale, and John Bobek visited Avalon Hill where their games are produced. They met with the Tom Shaw who they described as running Avalon Hill and designer of many of their games. He gave them a tour of the plant highlighted by seeing the artwork for the upcoming LUFTWAFFE game yet to be released at the time.

This magazine contains the 3rd installment of Gygax's ANCIENT MINIATURE RULES system.
