Man to Man predates the first edition GURPS Basic Rules and was released in 1985. It is essentially the Fantasy Combat Rules section of the "forthcoming" Basic Set, which was put into its own book. Man to Man also contains elements allowing it to be utilized as a boardgame.

There are 60 numbered pages and 20 pages of pull-outs between pages 30-31. Taped on the inside of the back cover is a ziplock bag with three sheets of Cardboard Heroes.
